Dişte çürüğe ve travmaya bağlı gelişebilen iltihabi hadisenin dişin damar sinir paketini geri dönüşümsüz etkilemesi sonucu meydana gelen şiddetli ağrının ve kök ucunda ki lezyononun tedavisi amacıyla çıkarılıp, kökün şekillendirilip, temizlenip ve doldurulmasıdır.
